Instructional Design is, at its core, the design, development, and organization of learning resources in order to create meaningful learning experiences and to achieve specific, desired learning outcomes. Whether you’re developing on PowerPoint or Articulate Storyline, there is art and science behind what drives effective instructional design.

In this session, we’ll get back to basics, examining the science behind adult learning theory and reviewing critical graphic design basics to help elevate your learning experiences.

About the Speaker: 

Michael West, Senior Learning Solutions Developer at Colonial Life, has nearly 30 years of experience in education and instructional design. He has developed and delivered blended learning experiences for a wide range of audiences. He holds a B.A. in English from Armstrong State College in Savannah, Georgia, and an M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina.

Currently, Michael serves as a Senior Learning Solutions Developer for Colonial Life, headquartered in South Carolina, where he designs training programs for field agents.
