Please consider sowing some of your time in the chapter this year by volunteering with us! Volunteering is a great way to grow your skillset, gain more experience and enhance your resume.

 Category  Opportunity  Description  Time Commitment
Executive Bylaws Committee The Bylaws committee receives, reviews and recommends proposed amendments to the ATDSC Bylaws. 2 hours monthly from August - October biannually; the next review would be in 2026
Executive Board Member  Elections must occur at least thirty (30) calendar days prior to the end of the current Board terms. Interested candidates must be members in good standing of ATDSC and will be a member at the National ATD level. The candidate has to have been an active member of the chapter (or another chapter) for at least one year. The candidate should be available for training. At least 4 hours monthly including attending board meetings, learning events, board retreats, and networking events.
 Executive Nominating committee The Nominating Committee will present a slate of qualified candidates to the Board of Directors prior to membership elections.At least 2 hours annually in the fall; must be an ATDSC member for at least one year
Communications Graphic design Help pull images for website, create social media graphics for events, and refresh chapter branded templates.  2 - 4 hours/month
Communications Digital communications support Helps with website, social media content and emails. Experience with web and social platforms preferred.   2 - 4 hours/month
Communications Proofreader Reviews all chapter communications and suggests edits as appropriate including monthly newsletter, website content and any print materials.  2 hours/month
 Education General Planning
Assist with supporting the educational programming needs of the chapter. Event preparation, speaker selection, post event follow-up, hosting chapter meetings, and evaluation of meetings. Strong collaborator. Working knowledge of technology resources.

2 hours/month

 Education Conference Planning Committee
Assist with developing the conference schedule, participate in selection of venue, speakers, caterers, promotional materials, activities, conference gifts, and entertainment. Strong collaborator and organizer. Working knowledge of curriculum and events planning a plus.

 40 hours*

*The time commitment is a cumulative approximation over a period of several months and includes the variation of support needed for each task. Committee members may or may not exceed this threshold.



 Membership Membership Committee  Assist with membership duties including keeping track of new and existing members.  

2-4 hours per month

Membership Ambassador Opportunities 
 Executive  Finance Committee  Verify that the chapter's bills have been paid monthly; create a tracking system which shows which bills are due month to month

2 hours per month
