Many talent development professionals find themselves in the role of an “order taker,” responding to training requests without a clear way to define success or demonstrate impact. Moving from order taker to strategic partner requires the ability to connect learning initiatives to meaningful outcomes.
In this interactive webinar, you will explore how Backward Design can help shift that conversation. Rather than starting with content or activities, backward design begins with success criteria and works backward to identify evidence of learning and the experiences that support it.
Participants will apply a simple mapping tool to a real training challenge, defining what success looks like, identifying how learning will be demonstrated, and exploring how this approach can strengthen conversations with stakeholders about results.

She helps leaders through coaching, facilitated learning, and thoughtfully designed leadership development programs. Felicia is an ICF Certified Professional Coach, holds a Ph.D. in Engineering, an M.B.A. in Marketing, and an M.Ed. in Instructional Design, and is an active member of the ATD South Carolina Strategic Partnerships committee.
