a 2026 ATD SC Chapter Scholarship!

Are you growing your academic or professional career in Talent Development? Whether you’re earning a degree or preparing for an ATD certification, the ATD South Carolina Chapter is proud to support your development through our 2026 Chapter Scholarship.

Scholarship Award

• One (1) scholarship of up to $1,080 (in celebration of our chapter's 80th anniversary)
• Available to active ATD SC Chapter members

Who Can Apply?

1️⃣ Academic Study Track

• Enrolled in an accredited college or university in a Talent Development-related field (e.g., OD, HRD, Instructional Design, Adult Learning)
• Complete the scholarship application
• Provide the Bursar’s contact info
• Awarded funds will be sent directly to the institution

-OR-

2️⃣ Certification Exam Track (CPTD or APTD)

• Must be pursuing CPTD or APTD certification
• Scholarship may cover up to $1,080 of exam fees
• Complete the scholarship application first (do not register until approved)

Exam registration costs vary; check below for details:

CPTD Fees: ATD National Members: $1,099 | Non-members: $1,500

APTD Fees: ATD National Members: $525 | Non-members: $800

Exams must be completed within 90 days of certification registration. *Please do not register to take the exam until after the scholarship recipient has been announced.

Important Dates

• Application Opens: September 4, 2026
• Application Closes: October 16, 2026, 11:59 pm
• Application Review: October 17-30, 2026

*Winner Announced: November 6, 2026 at the 80th Anniversary/End-of-Year Celebration Event.*

How to Apply - Prepare a presentation (written, video, or digital) and include:

• Introduction of yourself
• Academic and professional background
• Key achievements and skills
• Short-term and long-term goals
• Why you are the ideal scholarship recipient

Additional Info

• Only active ATD SC Chapter members are eligible
• Past recipients cannot reapply
• Scholarship funds are awarded following IRS guidelines
• Recipient will be invited to the virtual End-of-Year Celebration to share a brief testimonial
