  • ASTD Midlands welcomes first time National ASTD members to attend our chapter meeting. We offer a One Time Guest pass. In order to attend, please contact our Membership Director at membership@astdmidlands.org to receive a special registration code.
  • Chapter members will not be charged for the event. Membership will be verified prior to the meeting.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

You're in a class, and a very peppy facilitator booms from center stage: "Good morning!" The room replies "Good morning," and the facilitator says, "Oh, you all can do better than that" -- encouraging the crowd to yell louder "Good morning." After all, this seems to get the students energized and pumped up for the exciting day of learning ahead.
Only one problem: the louder the group gets, the more introverts in the room are shutting down and bracing themselves to endure, rather than enjoy, the rest of the day.  Learn why is is important to know about type.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Lyn Isbell has been teaching for nearly 40 years, starting with swimming lessons for children and adults. A professor of English, Humanities, Speech and Business Communications for 18 years, she was Director of Saint Leo College on the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and Department Chair of English and Humanities at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. She joined BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina as a Senior Training Specialist in 1998 and holds a number of corporate training certifications, including DDI and FranklinCovey. She is currently a Management Development Consultant and teaches behavioral courses for I/S Training at BlueCross. A lifelong student of human behavior, she is passionate about the power of understanding Myers-Briggs type when developing and delivering training
